ProjectAnswer.com provides a service to connect Freelance developers and programmers ("Freelancers") to Employers ("Project Owners"). No fee is required to register as either a Freelancer or a Project Owner. Payment is collected to purchase either "PowerBid Credits" or "PowerContact Credits".
Freelancers
Your registration with ProjectAnswer.com entitles you to search for Projects for which you feel you have the skills and availability to complete. You may place a bid on any project. This bid is your best estimate on how long you feel you can complete the project in, and at what cost. Placing a regular Bid is free.
It is critical that you enter valid data into the “email” and “phone number” fields when filling out your Freelancer Profile. These fields will be hidden from Project Owners until payment is made to gain access to them. If a Project Owners reports that the “email” or “phone number” for a Freelancer they attempted to contact was not valid, that Freelancer’s account will be immediately terminated.
PowerBids
A Freelancer may also upgrade their bid to a PowerBid for a nominal cost. This makes your bid appear above non-PowerBids when Project Owners view bids for their Projects. In addition, your PowerBid may be selected by a Project Owner for free. A ProjectOwner must pay a fee to select your Bid if it is not a PowerBid.
Project Owners
Your registration entitles you to post your Project with ProjectAnswer.com, which will then be able to solicit bids from Freelancers. You may select a Bid and gain access to the contact information for the Freelancer by using a Contact Credit. If the Bid you wish to select is a PowerBid, then no Contact Credit needs to be used.
You may also search directly for Freelancers with the skills and experience you need for your project. You may redeem your Contact Credits for access to the Freelancer’s contact information.
Contact Credits
Contact Credits may be purchased by Project Owners. Payment is made via PayPal, which is capable of collecting payment either from a credit card of from your PayPal account. Contact Credits are used to contact a Freelancer for whom you agree with the Bid they placed on your Project.
PowerBid Credits
PowerBid credits may be purchased by Freelancers. Payment is made via PayPal, which is capable of collecting payment either from a credit card of from your PayPal account. PowerBid Credits are used to upgrade a Bid to a "PowerBid". A PowerBid appears at the top of the other bids to Project Owners. Also the Project Owner may
Contact Information
Neither the Project Owner profile, not the Freelancer Profile, may contain any contact or identifying information (email address, phone numbers, instant message accounts) in any field other than the fields designated for this information. Also project postings and bids may also not contain any of the same type of contact information. We have an automated system that scans our database for any type of contact information in places it is not allowed. If any violation is detected, the record may be deleted, or silently "deactivated". In either case, the user will not be aware that their Bid/Project/Profile has been effected this way. Repeated violations may result in your account being permanently deleted.
Simply put, violating our Contact Information policy will result in loss of business for you without you even realizing that you are being penalized.
In addition, we also manually audit our database to detect any further records with contact information. Violators will be treated the same, regardless of whether they were caught by our automated system or by manual auditing.
